Voters report five-hour waits to vote in Chesapeake
Voters Virginia have been stuck in line from anywhere between 3-5 hours. Some Virginians have been feeling as if this is a stop to their right to vote. Although this has been the story in many states, the areas with the highest holdup mysteriously have a higher black population, and a lot of the same polling places that caused issues in the 2008 election are the same ones being affected today.

What will be on a ballot in Virginia?
http://www2.timesdispatch.com/news/virginia-politics/2012/nov/04/tdmain16-whats-on-the-statewide-ballot-tuesday-ar-2335279/
Ballots next Tuesday will contain many different candidate names for Virginians to choose from. This article helps to make the choices clear. Every voter should take the time to investigate where these candidates stand on the issues that matter the most to them, and then make a choice. Voting is a right that we are lucky to have as Americans, don't sit back! Jim Webb, a democrat, is retiring after his six year term, leaving a senate seat open to a new candidate. Republican George Allen and Democrat Tim Kaine will battle it out in a very close race. Also, all 11 seats in the House of Representatives are up for re-election. There are many things to be paying attention to as election day draws near. Be informed & go vote!

Second Presidential Debate: Obama vs. Romney (Full Length Video 10/16/12)
Tonight's debate. Obama seemed much stronger in this town hall forum than in the previous debate. After more sleep this debate will be analyzed further.... But you may want to take a look at some 'facts'....
http://www.eenews.net/public/Greenwire/2012/02/27/4 and also, remember to pay attention to body language. Who do you think was more comfortable in front of average Americans? Confidence and intelligence in a town hall style debate or discussion can be very convincing when it makes the listener feel connected to the information being presented... Take a look.. http://www.mercurynews.com/presidentelect/ci_21789981/debate-body-language-testy-and-tense-exchange

2012 Candidate Tracker via POLITICO.com
2012 Presidential Election - Candidate Tracker - POLITICO.com
This is a very cool tracker of where the presidential candidates are at on the map. Obviously as the race heats up they will be spending more and more time in the key swing states and my assumption is trying to get the students to vote for them! Republican candidate Mitt Romney will be hosting a rally in Richmond, Virginia this coming Friday, October 12. He will be holding this rally at the Mobility Center near the mall and the car dealerships in Richmond. The mobility center is a vehicle designer for disabled persons, mainly targeting veterans who need support. -See link above

Turnin up the heat in AZ! -Voter ID cards with 11/8 election day in Spanish
Maricopa County Elections Department admits error on date of general election on voter ID card
Just an interesting tid-bit that popped up today in Maricopa County, Arizona. Up to fifty (maybe more) of the state issued voter I.D. cards, printed so close to election day, had November 8th written in Spanish. The English version had the correct date. Fishy?? Over 1/3 of the city's population is of latino heritage.
This is the 'city' area of Phoenix. Huge latino population along with a very widely diverse population. I have a hard time thinking that these voter I.D. cards in the area were printed incorrectly on accident.
The government in the Phoenix area is very harsh on the immigrant population here, not long ago attempting to pass a law that allows police to pull over and check the papers of anyone looking like an undocumented resident. Phoenix's county sheriff Joe Arpaio is actually nicknamed the "immigrant fighter" among many social groups. The articles linked below show you a little about the mindset of the people in charge of government happening in Phoenix.
